The Directorate of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh has always aspired to be a leading national model for excellence in higher education. It is committed to fostering transformative learning experiences, promoting research and innovation, and nurturing students into socially responsible citizens. As the administrative and funding agency of the State Government in the field of higher education, the Directorate is prepared to play a pivotal role in ushering in fresh and transformative practices in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, with the objective of enhancing the overall quality of higher education. In pursuit of this vision, the Directorate shall continuously endeavour to provide a comprehensive and supportive framework for the growth and development of higher education institutions across the State, ensuring quality education that is accessible, affordable, and responsive to the needs of society.
